چکیده

The experimentally measured spectral density of current noise in Josephson junctions provides direct evidence for the existence of zero-point fluctuations. Assuming that the total vacuum energy associated with these fluctuations cannot exceed the presently measured dark energy of the universe, we predict an upper cutoff frequency of νc = (1.69 ± 0.05) × 1012 Hz for the measured frequency spectrum of zero-point fluctuations in the Josephson junction. The largest frequencies that have been reached in the experiments are of the same order of magnitude as νc and provide a lower bound on the dark energy density of the universe. It is shown that suppressed zero-point fluctuations above a given cutoff frequency can lead to 1/f noise. We propose an experiment which may help to measure some of the properties of dark energy in the lab.  2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved. PACS: 74.81.Fa; 98.80.-k; 03.70.+k

Behavioral effect of naloxone on anxiolytic- like effect of noscapine in bulb/c mice

The effect of naloxone, a non-selective opioid antagonist on some anxiolytic and analgesic drugs is reported. Noscapine is an opioid alkaloid with antitussive effect that cannot be antagonized by naloxone. The anxiolytic-like effect of noscapine has been shown in light-dark model and elevated plus maze. In this study the effect of naloxone on anxiolytic effect of noscapine in light-dark model w...

Rebuttal To: Has Dark Energy Really Been Discovered in the Lab?

We argue that a recent discussion of Jetzer and Straumann [Phys. Lett. B 606, 77 (2005)] relating the measured noise spectrum in Josephson junctions to van der Waals forces is incorrect. The measured noise spectrum in Josephson junctions is a consequence of the fluctuation dissipation theorem and the Josephson effect and has nothing to do with van der Waals forces. Consequently, the argument of...

2 00 6 Josephson junctions and dark energy

In a recent paper Beck and Mackey [astro-ph/0603397] argue that the argument we gave in our paper [Phys. Lett. B 606, 77 (2005)] to disprove their claim that dark energy can be discovered in the Lab through noise measurements of Josephson junctions is incorrect. In particular, they emphasize that the measured noise spectrum in Josephson junctions is a consequence of the fluctuation dissipation ...

Formation of Large Structures in the Acceleration Universe with a Hybrid Expansion Law

In the current paper, we have studied the effect of dark energy on for-mation where dark energy exists in the background. For this purpose, we used both WMAP9 and Planck data to study how the radius changes with redshift in these mod-els. We used different data sets to fix the cosmological parameters to obtain a solution for a spherical region under collapse. The mechanism of structure formation f...
